A Warm Welcome to Ventonveth Barn

Ventonveth Barn is a fabulous, recently converted holiday cottage which lies in an idyllic rural location, set above the picturesque and unspoilt coastal hamlet of Portholland.  The Barn lies in the heart of Ventonveth Farm, a small holding, nested in the rural countryside of the Roseland Peninsula, renowned as one of the most beautiful parts of the country. 

Ventonveth Barn enjoys the most tranquil of surroundings and is just a stroll down the hill to the beach.  Portholland comprises of two separate bays, (east and west) which at low tide are joined by a golden stretch of sand.   Rock pools abound providing hours of entertainment for children, whilst for those who enjoy walking, the spectacular Cornish Coastal path stretches east and west from the coves.  To the east lies Porthlune Beach set below Caerhays Castle from where the path winds along to the stunning and remote Hemmick Beach before heading out toward Dodman Point.  To the west lies spectacular cliff tops leading to the traditional fishing village of Portloe, further along to Kilberick Cove, around Nare Head to the popular sandy beach of Carne.  

The Barn has been totally renovated to a very high standard with open-plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, a downstairs bathroom, one double bedroom and a second bedroom with zip and link beds giving versitility as to whether twin beds or another comfortable double is required.  A separate laundry room is within the dairy opposite with facilites to hang wet suits and store bikes or canoes.  Outside there is south facing garden which enjoys all day sun with a paved terraced area, lawn and beds.  There is ample parking.
